The cornerstone of everything we do is our 7-step seasonal fertilization and weed control program. Professional-grade, timed-release granular fertilizer feeds your lawn through the root system in the soil. Each of the seven applications is carefully timed to Ohio's growing season for maximum results.
The program begins in early spring with crabgrass pre-emergent and balanced fertilizer to bring your lawn out of dormancy with a strong green-up. Through spring and summer, broadleaf weed control eliminates dandelions, clover, and plantain while timed-release fertilizers maintain color and density. The fall applications build the root system for winter hardiness, and the final winter prep ensures your lawn wakes up strong the following spring.

Lawn Care vs. Landscaping — What We Do and Don't Do
Field of Dreams is a lawn care and pest control company. We specialize in making your lawn healthy, green, and weed-free through professional-grade treatments. We are not landscapers, and understanding the difference helps you choose the right company for your needs.
What we do: Lawn fertilization, weed control, core aeration, overseeding, grub protection, mosquito control, foundation insect control, lime applications, tree and shrub feeding, snow mold prevention, and surface insect control. These are all health and treatment services focused on the condition of your turf and landscape plants.
What we don't do: Mowing, edging, trimming, leaf removal, mulching, planting, hardscaping, landscape design, tree removal, or snow plowing. If you need these services, we are happy to recommend trusted partners in the Independence and Cleveland area.
This distinction matters because lawn care requires different expertise, equipment, and products than lawn maintenance or landscaping. Our technicians are trained and licensed to diagnose lawn problems, select the right treatment products, and apply them safely and effectively. That level of specialization is what produces results.
